Vietnamese lawmakers come to Mongolia to learn about health insurance and reducing domestic violence

A delegation of Vietnamese
lawmakers recently visited Mongolia to discuss how Mongolia’s health
insurance system is being used by citizens. The group also requested
to learn about Mongolia’s work to prevent domestic violence.

The Vietnamese lawmakers, members
of the Committee for Social Affairs from Vietnam's National Assembly,
met with their Mongolian counterparts to hear how health insurance programs
have been implemented in Mongolia.

Mongolia has now had ten years
of experience, since implementing its health insurance laws in 1997.

The group also visited a center
to assist women who have suffered from domestic abuse.

During their stay, the Vietnamese
delegation met with the Mongolian Parliament’s Committee for Social
Affairs, Ministries of Health, Justice and Internal Affairs, Social
Welfare and Labor, and the Mongolia-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’
Association.
