Mongolia beats Guam, ranks fifth in East Asia Football Championship

Mongolia beat Guam 5-2 on Sunday during the East Asian Football Championship in Macao. The win resulted in Mongolia being ranked fifth in the tournament. 

Guam scored first just one minute into the game on a penalty shot. Within five minutes, Guam scored again to lead Mongolia 2-0. 

However, Enkhtivan Dagva scored in the 24th minute and, in a remarkable performance, Bayarzorig Davva scored two goals in a row as Mongolia took the lead 3-2 over Guam. 

Before halftime, Garidmagnai Bayasgalan scored on a long-range shot from midfield as Mongolia went ahead 4-2. 

Mongolia’s final goal came when Anar Batchuluun made a shot on Gerelt-Od Sukhbaatar's pass.

Six teams are participating in the tournament and the winner will take the berth for the East Asian Championship in 2008.
