Mongolia to attend Asian security conference in Manila

Mongolia will be represented
during upcoming Asian discussions on regional security.

Beginning August 2, the 14th
Asian Regional Forum will meet in the Philippines to review regional
and international security problems. Major areas of discussion include
the global war on terrorism and recent progress in reducing nuclear
tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

While not a member of the Asian
Regional Forum, Mongolia retains the status of a dialogue partner.

The Asian Regional Forum will
convene in Manila following the conclusion of the 40th Asian Ministerial
Meeting. Mongolian representatives will also be present at the Ministerial
Meeting.
