Mongolian woman wrestler bringing home bronze medal

Mongolia’s entry in the in
the women's freestyle at the World Wrestling Championships in Baku,
Azerbaijan is returning home with a bronze medal. 

In her Saturday match, Dorj
Narmandakh of Mongolia defeated Brittanee Laverdure of Watson Lake,
Yukon, Canada 1-0, 0-1, 6-1 to win the bronze medal.  

One gold medal was won by two-time
defending champion Hitomi Sakamoto of Japan. Japan won a second gold
medal in the 55-kilogram final, when 2005 champion Saori Yoshida defeated
Ida-Therese Karlsson of Sweden. 

Canada's Erica Sharpe won a
bronze medal. Sharp, from Whitehorse, Canada defeated Tatyana Bakatyuk
of Kazakhstan 1-0, 3-2. Anne-Catherine Deluntsch of France also won
a bronze medal. 

The 2007 women's freestyle
at World Wrestling Championships were scheduled to be completed on Sunday.
