Livestock insurance service to be offered

Insurance representatives have been selected to sale livestock indexed
insurance in Bayankhongor aimag. They are the "Mongol", "Tushig",
"Bodi", and "Prime" insurance companies. In every soum of the province,
2-3 insurance underwriters will be deployed. This campaign will last
from March 15 through June 30, 2008 to cover livestock insurance for
the first half year of 2009. Herders who have been involved in this
service in last three experimental years can conclude insurance
contracts before June 10 to enjoy 10-percent discount. Last year, over
1,700 pastoral households involved their livestock of 130 thousand
heads in the livestock indexed insurance.
