12.05 UPDATE The MPRP building is taking over by flames. At least three floors are on fire and it seems more is on the way. The Duty Free liquor shop on the ground floor is blamed for making the fire so difficult to tame. In the meantime at 11.30 President Enkhbayar has declared a State of Emrgency for the coming 4 four days, giving more freedom to the authorities to deal with the situation. TV has shown protesters entering the building and looting. Two local TV journalists have been fighting with each other in front of the protests. A bulldozer and other equipment from a nearby building site have been used in ravaging the building.
Thousands of people are staging a violent protest against the outcome of Sundays election.

Ulaanbaatar. Fire trucks are trying to get near the site. Military a nd
police are joining forces to control the crowd. Eagle TV shows images
of smoke coming from the MPRP building and protesters trying to enter.
Around 19.30 fire was coming from the windows at the ground floor, but
the fire brigade seens to have controlled.
In the meantime protesters look for the confrontation. Police men are
shooting at the crowd with what seem to be rubber bullets.
