Trade increased by 90 percent
in the past year between Mongolia and Turkey.
Turkish cabinet minister Hayati
Yazıcı said trade during the first nine months of 2008 reached $12
million, a 90 percent increase over the same period in 2007.
Yazıcı revealed the information
during a speech delivered at the fifth Turkey-Mongolia Joint Economic
Commission meeting in Ankara.
Currently, trade between the
two countries is centered around leather, construction, energy, jewelry,
mining, food and the machinery industries.
Mongolian Environment and Tourism
Minister Luimed Gansukh also attended the meeting.
