The Mongolian flag has been
raised on the highest mountain in Antarctica.
The flag was hoisted by Mongolian
mountain climber G.Gankhuu who had completed the 4,887m ascent of Mount
Winston.
G.Gankhuu was part of a team
of climbers making up the international expedition entitled "Seven
Summit." The ten person team included climbers from Russia, Italy,
the USA and Ukraine.
Mount Winston is the seventh
tallest mountain in the world.
