The first Mongolian-German agricultural symposium will be held in Ulaanbaatar from March 10-11.
Organizers say the aim of the symposium is to review methods to modernize Mongolian agriculture. Germany is Mongolia’s main supplier of agricultural tools and machinery as well as potato seeds.
Officials from the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry report that both German as well as European suppliers will exhibit products at the event.
Each year, Mongolia sows 310,000 hectares, of which 210,000 hectares of the total lands are planted for wheat.
