Six Mongolians have recently been inducted into the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).
A ceremony was held in Ulaanbaatar by officials of the RAS who were visiting Mongolia.
The Mongolians awarded with membership included J.Gurragchaa, an astronaut and Hero of Mongolia and former Soviet Union; B.Chadraa, a president of Mongolia's Academy of Sciences (MAS); and Dr R.Barsbold, a director of the Paleontological Institute.
The RAS delegation also signed agreements to increase cooperation between Russia and Mongolia in improving Mongolia's economy and scientific production sector.
