Russian archeologists to excavate in Mongolia

A group of Russian archeologists will begin an excavation in Mongolia this summer.

 

The group of ten scientists will be headed by N.V.Polosmak, a member of both the Mongolia Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography at the Russian Academy of Sciences.

 

The group will arrive in June.

 

The excavation will take place near the Noyon Mountain in Tov aimag's Bornuur soum.

 

Other archeological expeditions are planned this year sponsored by the Mongolia Archeological Institute along with archeologists from France, the Republic of Korea, Germany, Italy and Monaco.
