The second round of the Asia 2009 Supercross Championships will take place in Ulaanbaatar on July 19th 2009.
A growing number of motorcycle rider tourists find Mongolia to be the last frontier for cross country riding trips. Motorcycle Mongolia discusses the challenges and opportunities of riding a motorcycle in Mongolia.
The race will be broad-casted to over 600 million households globally by STAR TV, ESPN, Eurosports and Speed.
The Supercross Championships will be a unique opportunity for the Mongolian Ministry of Tourism to present Mongolia as one of the most exciting countries for cross country motorbike tours.
The event will be an opportunity to meet some of the best bike riders of Asia.
The leading Mongolian champion in the upcoming race will be Erdenbileg Khaliunbold defending his title. Last year Erdenbileg won the title of the 2008 Overall Asian Motocross Rider of the Year.
In the previous round of the 2009 Asian Motocross Championships held in Puerto Princesa City Philippines, Erdenbileg was the third place winner with his 125cc Kawasaki (picture on the right 3rd place).
Other famous Mongolian bike riders are: Boldbautar Gan-od, Temuujin Khadbaatar, Dashdondog Ochirsukh. E.Enkh-Erdene, T.Nyamdavaa and D.Gereltogotkh
Countries participating at this round in Mongolia are Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, India, China, Sri Lanka, Iran, Australia,Thailand 
The 2009 Asian Motocross Championship consists of four rounds. The first one took place March 1 in Puerto-Princesa city, the Philippines; the 2nd will take place on July 19 in Ulaanbaatar, and the third one August 10 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The forth last round on November 15th, 2009 Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Iran was on the original list of hosting countries, but due to the political events the round was moved to Indonesia.
Let us all hope the Mongolian champions will take advantage of the home race and take the lead. After all the hard work and training under difficult conditions they certainly deserve it.
