Indo-Mongolian Society will present "Balapan: Wings of the Altai" a film about
the Kazakh eagle hunters of Mongolia. The filmmaker will present at this

On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006 at 7:00 p.m., The Rubin Museum of Art & the
Indo-Mongolian Society will present a photo-talk by the renowned designer Mary
McFadden titled, "Goddesses and Ancient Textiles of Central Asia". Ms.
McFadden will guide us through a path of visual discovery of eternal beauty
illuminated through the co-mingling of ancient aesthetics from Egypt through the
Silk Road nations to Mongolia.
