Earthquake hits Mongolia, no casualties reported

An earthquake measuring 5.8 on
the Richter scale rocked central Mongolia at about 8:48 a.m.
Sunday, according to a bulletin released by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

The epicenter was initially determined to be at 44.5 degrees
North Latitude and 102.3 East Longitude, or about 520 kilometers
southwest of Ulan Bator, the country's capital.

No information of casualties is available.

No and than, Mongolia is struck by an earthquake (like last January) but hardly ever with any serious consequences in the scarsely populated country.
