Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mongolian Prime Minister Mr. N. Enkhbayar has handed over Tg 480 million to the artists who have started creating a large-scale Chinggis Khan feature film. The money was donated by the Great Mongol - 800 Fund. The film is being made by famous Mongolian arts and cultural figures led by the state honored arts figure and producer L. Erdenebulgan. This is a big investment in national film art and development of domestic artists, said Mr. Enkhbold, Premier and Head of the Great Mongol - 800 National Committee. Activities and measures planned for the 800th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire are carried out under the schedule. "Artists make a great contribution to foreign advertisement of their motherland and perpetuation of the history and culture of their homeland," pointed out the Premier.

The producer L. Erdenebulgan said, "We aim to create the feature film with the support of the Mongolian people and government. We hope that this film will help relistically represent the history and culture of Mongolia for the next generation. Mongolian producers and artists have gained much experience in making historic movies. We are glad to have found a solution to the financial side of producing the film." The film is to be premièred during the 2007 Naadam National Holiday, which takes place on July 11-13. The above donation covers one third of the total expenses required for the film creation. More than Tg 600 million has also been donated by individuals, companies and organizations.
