- Join Mindy and Luigi Kapaj for an afternoon of Mongolian children's games and a demonstation of Mongolian archery. This program is being presented in conjunction with "The Art of the Game." The Art of the Game is organized by the National Executive Service Corps in conjunction with the SI Bank and Trust Foundation, and supported by the Staten Island Advance, Staten Island Borough President, The New York Community Trust and The Samuel H. Kress Foundation. Admission is Free for kids and their families. Adults must be accompanied by someone eighteen or under.

The Smithsonian Museum in Washington is mounting a major series of events
related to the 800th anniversary year of the beginning of Chinggis Khaan's reign
and the founding of the Mongol nation. In connection with this, the
Mongol-American Cultural Association has committed to raising $5,000 to help
defray the expenses associated with this very significant series of exhibitions,

The Constitution of the United States of America is the oldest written active constitution in the world. It declares a democracy and protects personal rights of all american people. Dr.Kent G.Harbison, a visiting scholar at the National Univeristy of Mongolia will talk about what are these rights of citizens, how the Constitution protects them.

 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart celebrated in Mongolia The 250th birth anniversary of the world famous composer Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart is celebrated worldwide this year. On the occasion of
the event, a German professor, composer and conductor Bernhard Wulf
together with five well-known Mongolian conductors will organize a
concert of the famous classic works of W.A.Mozart and classic works of
Mongolian composers on March 10 in the State Academic Theatre of Opera
and Ballet. S.Badamkhorol, Head of the Mongolian New Musical
Association, said the concert provides an opportunity to enjoy classic
music by celebrating both the famous composer W.A.Mozart's birthday and
the annual ''Roaring Hooves'' international musical festival, which is
organized under the auspices of the Mongolian Minister of Education,
Culture and Science. The concert will be participated by the symphony
orchestras of the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet and the
State Philharmonic Theatre, as well as by the stringed instruments'

A ceremony was held today in the State Academic Theatre of Opera and
Ballet to welcome the order issued by the Mongolian President Mr.
N.Enkhbayar to develop the throat (overtone) singing, one of the
wonderful folklore genres of Mongolia. The President Mr. N.Enkhbayar
presented his order to Mr. O.Enkhtuvshin, the Minister of Education,
Culture and Science. The President issued the order to develop the
throat singing genres, one of the types of the intangible literature
heritage of the Mongolian nation, on the basis of provision No. 34
of Mongolian Constitution based on proposals from arts and
cultural institutions, scientists and artists. Minister Mr.
Enkhtuvshin said that the relevant state organizations, NGOs,
scientists, educators, throat singers, and arts and cultural figures
are ordered to promote further the overtone singing. The Ministry of
Education, Culture and Science together with the relevant arts and
cultural organizations will work out a program on the throat singing
development. All periods of overtone singers gave a concert at the

A new compalition of Mongolian classic literature “Mongolia’s classic Stories” published. It was edited by G.Ayurzana and L.Ulziitogs and includes works that were written in the 19th and in the beginning of the 20th century. The President of Mongolia Mr. N.Enkhbayar has received Japanese artists
headed by president of "Kadokawa" Corporation and film director Mr. Kadokawa Haruki. At the meeting, the artists briefed on "Chinggis
Khaan" movie to be jointly made by Mongolia and Japan. The President
approved a creation of historical film and supported them in closely
cooperate with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of
Mongolia. He hoped that an experienced team would successfully shoot a
movie and wished a success. Kadokawa Haruki said he plans to start a shooting
this summer. For this purpose, a great number of people and horses will

Mr. Kadokawa, Director of the Japanese publishing company with the same name,
together with the Mongolian Nyamgavaa Production will make a feature
film Chinggis Khaan for the 800th jubilee of the foundation of the Great
Mongol State. A total of 20 million USD will be spent on the film
creation and advertisement. The shooting will start on June 1, 2006 in
surroundings of the Ulaanbaatar City, in the Ondor Dov, Kharkhorin and
Terelj picturesque places. Artists for the main and other roles have
not yet been selected, and two Japanese writers are working for the
film plot to have it ready by April 1. All film works will be made in
Mongolia. More than 200 artists of Japan and Mongolia will participate
in the work. The Great Mongol-800 National Commission will render a
financial support to the film works, which will be completed in
