Nine demands for president |

Yesterday, /24 January/ Mongolian Democratic Union has demonstrated on Freedom square around 12:20 pm. R.Sambaraaz, chief of Banner Office of Democratic Union, opened the gathering.
After the gathering opened, demonstrators went to the Government building at Sukhbaatar square, to hand over 9 demands to the president, State Great Khural and government.
The demands included:
- Despite the standard of living, grant the money to Mongolian children, 5000 MNT from 1, February 2005 and extend it to 10000MNT from 1 June 2005.
- Increase the pension at least 80000 MNT within first 6 months of 2006.
- Increase the salary of official workers, at least 150000 MNT
- Decrease the VAT and debase the unemployment.
- Realize the program of apartment for 40000 families.
- Less than 30 percent of income of minerals should be intend for education and health branches
- Investigate high officials as required by law and inform the fact to people.
- Retain the international experts within February of 2006 and to clear up the crime of Zorig’s death.
- Official workers shouldn’t be dismissed ‘cause of their political aspects.
The Democratic Union announced that they will demonstrate until these demands are realized
