Thursday, 24 May 2007

The head of Xinhua, the Chinese news agency, met with Mongolian leaders on Tuesday.

Nan Zhenzhong, Editor-in-chief of Xinhua, met with Prime Minister Miegombyn Enkhbold as well as Foreign Minister Nyama Enkhbold as part of his three-day visit to Ulaanbaatar.

Prime Minister Enkhbold praised the work of Xinhua in assisting in the developing relations between Mongolia and China. Enkhbold told Nan his visit would further enhance bilateral relations between their two countries and solidify ties between journalists in both countries.

Mongolian officials stressed during Nan’s visit that a major foreign policy goal of Mongolia is the continued development of economic and trade partnerships with China. China is currently Mongolia’s largest investor and trade partner.
