Thursday, 24 May 2007

Mongolian models participated in an international fashion show last week.

Mongolian models dressed in both traditional as well as contemporary fashions, during a show entitled, 'Namaste Asia' which was organized by the United Nations Women's Organization (UNWO) in Katmandu.

Money raised during the fashion show will be used to provide scholarships for Tharu girls, assist in the construction of a children's eco park near Bagmati River and also fund old-age homes.

Models came from exclusively Asian countries including Tajikistan, Afghanistan, South Korea, China, Bangladesh, Japan, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
