The criminal police on January 12 raided the Marco Polo restaurant-nightclub (Sukhbaatar district) and found eight firearms (two automatic); a crossbow; pornographic videos; various narcotic substances, and non-tax-paid wines and spirits.

Italian Francesco Bernardini  the 44 years old Italian owner of Marco-Polo night club was arrested on the night of January 17-18 and the spirits, wine and drugs sent for laboratory tests. The weapons and videos were confiscated. Francesco and his wife are imprisoned at Gants Khudag remant center. It is reported that Bernardini has a crimonal record in his native Italia as well.

More than 30 girls were using the bar for prostitution, and according to the police over 400 girls had been involved in pornography and prostitution over the last six years in the bar.
