Iranian ambassador Javad Mansouri
presented his credentials to Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar
on Saturday.
Mansouri spoke of expanding
relations with Mongolia, including inviting Ulaanbaatur to open an embassy
in Tehran and suggested President Enkhbayar consider visiting Iran in
the near future.
Mansouri, who is also ambassador
to China, spoke repeatedly about increasing agricultural and business
ties between Iran and Mongolia. "Iran can transfer its experience
and achievements in the fields of agriculture, technical and engineering
services and education to Mongolia," he said.
President Enkhbayar referred
to Mongolia’s relations with Iran as ‘good.’ He urged the two
countries to expand bilateral relations in the years ahead.
Mansouri also met with Mongolia's
Prime Minister, Miegombyn Enkhbold.
