Satellite TV provider, Yangtze Telecom, reports quarterly loss of $287,000 |

Yangtze Telecom Corp. (TSXV:SMS),
operators of NBC Co. which provides satellite tv service in Mongolia,
posted a $287,000 loss for the quarter ending March 31. Its loss for
the same quarter in 2006 was $343,000.
Besides its Mongolian operations,
Yangtze Telecom works through two subsidiaries in China –Wuhan Cheng
Xi Information Technology Co. Ltd. and its 65 per cent owned China United
Telecom Technology Co.
"While the continuing
loss is disappointing, the company has made significant improvement
on the cost side as it positions itself in the digital TV network market
with the rollout of the wireless TV service in Ulan Bator," said
Emily Chen, president of Yangtze Telecom.
