The Times, perhaps the most influential newspaper in Britain, featured in its Saturday edition the stark changes many Mongolians are facing due to the mining of some of the world’s largest mineral deposits. 

Crediting Mongolia Web News  as a source for much information, The Times noted the uncertainty that Mongolia may face in the future. Experts warn that the enormous wealth to be extracted from below Mongolia may yet turn out to be a blessing or a curse. Also, concerns are raised over the impact of wide scale mining on traditional ways of Mongol life. 

Highlighted in the article were the many Ninja miners, individual Mongols who are successfully mining on their own and the impact their success has had on local economies. 

Also, the article touched on the influence mining companies may have in parliament and reform political movements being borne by the changes in Mongol society.
