Canadian based East Asia Minerals
Corporation (TSX VENTURE:EAS) has announced it has more precisely identified
uranium deposits at its Ingiin-Nars uranium site.
New surveys indicate two uranium
deposits, roughly one kilometer square and a second deposit some two
by five kilometers in size.
Drilling, trenching and mapping
have begun in earnest at both areas within Ingiin-Nars. Soviet-era drilling
indicated some 2.2 million pounds of contained uranium at the site.
However, these new explorations
may result in a higher estimate of uranium to be mined.
Company officials have said
that once drilling has been completed at Ingiin-Nars, drilling will
begin at East Asia Minerals’ Ulaan Nuur and Enger uranium projects.
