Mongolia will be featured on
the cable television program, “Last Man Standing,” when an American
wrestler competes in a Mongolian wrestling competition.
The internationally syndicated
Discovery Channel will send athletes throughout the world to train and
compete in sports they are not necessarily proficient in.
An American, only identified
as Brad, will train in Mongolia and compete in local wrestling matches.
Brad from Oklahoma remarks of the Mongolian villagers, "They took
us in like family and treated us like their adopted sons."
Not only were the athletes
expected to compete in a sport they only just learned, but they were
also faced with language barriers, health issues and culture shock.
"The toughest part for me was the lack of proper nutrition,"
claimed strongman Brad.
From Zulu stick fighting in
South Africa to a foot race in the Mexican mountains, these men push
their physical and mental limits to see who is the last warrior standing.
This 12-part series will be aired in October, 2007.
