Mongolia attends air force training at Pacific Airlift Rally 2007 PDF Print E-mail

Mongolia, along with other Asian nations, today concludes its participation in a regional airlift exercise and symposium. 

Pacific Airlift Rally 2007, jointly hosted by the U.S. and Indonesian air forces, saw 19 Asian countries participating in airlift seminars, a command post exercise focusing on humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, and a field-training exercise. 

A wide variety of aircraft were used in the exercise including a C-130 from the Royal Malaysian air force; a C-130 from the Indonesian air force; an AN-32 from the Bangladesh air force; a C-17 from the U.S. Air Force’s 15th Airlift Wing at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; and two U.S. Air Force C-130s from the 374th Airlift Wing at Yokota Air Base, Japan. 

Besides Mongolia, participating nations included Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, India, Indonesia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tonga, Vietnam and the United States.
