Travelers may now travel to Ulaanbaatar from Vladivostok en route to Moscow, aboard a five-star version of the Trans-Siberian Express.

A British company, GW Travel, has begun regular service across Siberia, via Mongolia, to Moscow on the new $25 million Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express.
Luxury and elegance is the rule as travelers live in spacious accommodations, dine in beautiful dining rooms and chat in special lounges.
Renowned chefs prepare world-class meals and travelers are urged to enjoy the train’s wine selection.  Russia’s traditional Trans-Siberian Express is also famous, however, often for the wrong reasons. Accommodations on the train are cramped, the food is too often mediocre, and too many passengers pass the endless days using vodka to ease the pain of the endless hours.
GW Travel is hoping to offer a real alternative to the Russian grind through Siberia. The only catch, of course, is the price. The fifteen-day trip costs $17,000 for a single or $24,000 for a double room.

To visit Mongolia is a dream of mine to ride the Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express would be the ultimate way to go. The price is out of my range, unfortunately. Bob L
