East Asia Minerals sells Ooshiin Govi uranium site to CFMM PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 07 September 2007
ImageThe Canadian East Asia Minerals Corporation (EAS) has sold its Ooshiin Govi uranium site for a reported $83 million CAD.

The Mongolian site has been purchased by Compagnie Francaise de Mines et Metaux ("CFMM"), a subsidiary of Areva NC.

The sites sold include the Bayan Uul, Elgenii, Ikh Khet and Airag-1 uranium tenements.

"CFMM's purchase of the Ooshiin Govi tenements is a unique opportunity for East Asia shareholders and the Company," stated Michael Hawkins, East Asia Minerals' President. "We believe that the proposed transaction provides an immediate return of outstanding value to the shareholders and the capital required to continue the Company's aggressive exploration, acquisition and growth strategy."
