Mongolian sumo grand champion,
Asashoryu, is recovering from the serious depression which forced him
to return to Mongolia.
Speaking at a news conference,
Asashoryu’s physician, Dr. Oriole said, "Asashoryu has become
emotionally stable and is even starting to smile," according to
The Yomiuri Shimbun. "His appetite is coming back and he is no
longer suffering from insomnia."
Asashoryu had been temporarily
banned from sumo wrestling after asking for the summer to recover from
injuries, only to be seen playing in a soccer match in Mongolia.
Asashoryu has been recovering
at a hot spring resort some 300 kilometers from UlaanBaatar.
