Regional tourism group supports listing of Vietnam site; acts to increase Asian visits

Mongolia has announced its
support to promote Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay’s as one the seven natural
wonders of the world.
Mongolian tourism officials
made the pledge at the conclusion of The East Asia Inter-Regional Tourism
Forum (EATOF) 2007 held in Thailand.
This year’s forum had representatives
from Mongolia, as well China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Malaysia,
Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
Member states further agreed
to the creation of an action plan to increase the exchange of students
and staff, assist projects for private enterprises, and urge the use
of direct flight and cruise ship routes among EATOF member countries.
