Mongolia attending Asian AIDS conference PDF Print E-mail

ImageMongolian representatives are currently attending a conference on stopping the spread of AIDS being held in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.

 

The conference theme, "Stop Aids - Keep the Promise," is being held as part of the ART organization, which Mongolia belongs to. 

The organization, ART, was created at the Beijing Declaration of 1994 to seek regional responses to the spread of HIV/Aids in the Asia Pacific region. 

Adding to the expertise at this year’s meeting, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies are also be in attendance. 

Besides Mongolia, ART has 14 members including Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Malaysia.
