Monday, 10 December 2007
ImageThe Mongolian government has selected a leading South Korean internet provider to build the government’s internet system.

KT Corp., South Korea's leading fixed-line telephone and broadband internet service provider, will begin work setting up an internet data center in Ulaanbaatur.

Their first project will be to build internet data and information systems to help computerize government operations.

"The project will help the two countries to improve technology co-operation and accelerate South Korean companies' foray into the Central Asian country," a KT official told the Yonhap news agency.

The project is scheduled to be completed by February 2009.
