Korean churches and organizations
are raising funds to pay for medical care for a severely injured Mongolian
man.
Turmumkh, 20, hovers between
life and death in a Mongolian hospital following being beaten last February.
He was injured while working as an official at a local wedding hall.
A story on Turmumkh was reported
in September on a Mongolian television network in South Korea. When
Yoo Ssang-dae, a South Korean watching the program learned of the story,
he decided to raise money to bring Turmumkh to Korea for medical treatment.
``Turmumkh wants to have medical
treatment in Korea,'' Yoo Ssang-dae, a volunteer at a welfare organization
told the Korea Times. ``We plan to request churches and welfare organizations
here to donate money to help the Mongolian. I always welcome anybody
who contacts me to help him.''
