ImageThe recent outbreak of equine influenza continues to spread across the country. State veterinary agency of Ministry of food and agriculture had announced tender. According to this tender “SBS” company imported 36000 flacon “tilozen-200” from Russia, in order to treat the infected horses. These antibiotics have been distributed to the provinces, and required syringes will be imported from china, in next few days. The outbreak began in February 18th herder hurlee’s herd in selenge province, altanbulag soum, and quarantine has been in effect for the 7th day, and there are no reports about more infection. According to yesterdays report Horse flu spread across 196 soums of 18 provinces, and 2 districts of Ulaanbaatar. More than 380000 horses were infected. equine influenza has killed 132 horses, and 249328 (64.9 percent) horses have been successfully treated, and 134618 horses have been quarantined and being treated.
