Mongolia to build road linking Russia to China |

 Mongolia is preparing to build
a 750 km road linking China to Russia.
The road will be part of the
Asia Highway Network and will stretch across 32 nations and run 141,000
km as it links Asia to Europe.
In Mongolia, the highway will
be built between Yarant on the southern border and continue to Ulaanbaishint
on the Russian border.
The $200 million cost for the
Mongolian project will be financed by the Asian Development Bank and
China.
At an estimated cost of US$200
million, the road will become part of the Asian Highway Network, a 141,000
km road system traversing 32 Asian countries with links to European
roadways.
When completed no later than
2014, the highway will be an asphalt-paved, two lane road throughout
its 750 km route.
