Mongolian soldier dies while on UN mission in Africa PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 21 March 2008
ImageHeart disease is being called the cause of death for a Mongolian soldier who died last week while on a UN peacekeeping mission.

Lieutenant Colonel D. Narantulga, 46, died on March 14 while on duty with Mongolian troops in Africa’s Sierra Leone.

Narantulga, one of seven boys in his family, comes from a family with a military tradition including both parents who currently serve in the Mongolian armed forces.

Following an autopsy in Ghana, Narantulga’s remains will be returned to Ulaanbaatur on Friday.

A memorial service was held earlier in the week at UN Headquarters in Liberia.
