Mongolian Foreign Minister in meetings in Beijing PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 25 March 2008
ImageMongolian Foreign Minister Sanjaasuren Oyun was in Beijing Monday to meet with officials as the neighboring countries continue improving bilateral ties.

Oyun was visiting China at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.

Official meetings included a session with Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo. The country’s leaders discussed a wide range of joint business, cultural and aid concerns.

China has focused considerable resources on the Mongolian government in recent years as it seeks access to Mongolia’s coal, gold and copper reserves. Mongolia’s northern neighbor, Russia, had made inroads among Mongolia’s leaders as it also seeks to mine Mongolian minerals.
