There was a significant increase in investment pouring into the capital city. Calculations show that only domestic investment reaches 2.1 billion tugrugs (appr. 1.8 mln USD) per day. This number will increase even further if the foreign investment will be taken into account. The increased investment makes it possible to tackle some of pressing issues facing the capital city.

Akira KAMIMURA, lecturer, faculty of Mongolian studies, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies launched an innovative website on old Mongolian manuscripts maps in cooperation with the state archive of Mongolia. It contains 16 precious maps which are stored at the state archive for academic use. The oldest map was estimated being made in 1803-1805.
