Russian leader says trade with Mongolia may hit $1 billion soon PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 15 April 2008
ImageRussian officials believe annual trade with Mongolia will reach $1 billion within the next few years.

Meeting with Mongolian Prime Minister Sanjaa Bayar last week, Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov said expanded trade cooperation could push trade between the two countries to record levels.

Mongolia and Russia saw trade jump by 30 percent in 2007 to $790 million.

During the meeting, Zubkov said Russian companies need to become more involved in Mongolia’s economic life if the countries hope to achieve even higher levels of foreign trade.
