 The Mongolian Foreign Minister
is paying the first official to France since diplomatic relations were
established between the countries 43 years ago.
Sanjaasurengiin Oyun, Minister
of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, is meeting with French Minister of Foreign
and European Affairs, Bernard Kouchner, in Paris.
Sanjaasurengiin Oyun will sign
a memorandum on cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two
countries and hold meetings with officials of several large French businesses. She also will visit the French Senate and National Assembly.
In past years, many Mongolian
Ministers have visited France. However, this is the first visit for
a Mongolian Foreign Minister.
Sanjaasurengiin Oyun is the
fourth member of the government to visit France in 2008.
