Mongolian President to participate in cross-country camel promotion PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 19 May 2008
ImageMongolian President N.Enkhbayar, has announced he will ride atop a camel during the "Mongolian Gobi--Silk road" cross-country promotion.

The program is sponsored by the Mongolian Camel Polo Federation and the NGO, For Supporting Gobi's Development, with the hope of stimulating tourism and seeking protection for camels from the disease, Camelus bactrianus.

The first part of the journey, which covered 500 kilometers, took riders from Omnogobi aimag's Khanbogd soum to Mandal-Ovoo soum.

The second part, which President N.Enkhbayar will join, covers another 500 kilometers from the Omnogobi aimag's Mandal-Ovoo soum to Kharkhorin soum of Ovorkhangai aimag.

He is riding a camel. I fail to find the humility part in that. How about fixing the sad state of a criminal government. People have to pay bribes to receive common legal process? The anti-corruption groups who valiantly fight corruption with corruption? How about inflation? How about people who ride around in SUV's and when you ask how they got to their status they say "didn't you hear my mom's relative got elected"?
Please... save us all the talk of humilty and widom. It is every bit as bad and fully in bed with all the other criminal officials of other countries in this world. The USA fully included in that bunch.

I fully agree with INT Jay.
People also have to pay bribes to get to the civil service.
No wonder, Enhbayar's got nothing better to do!
Please, can't we do without all these applauses to the corrupt "head of state" on your site?!

chuck48091, are you completely ignorant of what is happening in Mongolia or are you Enhbayar's relative?

Seems like riding camels should take a back seat to a leader LEADING his nation.
At least that is how things should go in the world.
SIGH!
