Combatting bird flu in Ulaanbaatar |

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. The Ulaanbaatar City Health Department and the
Veterinary Department have jointly hosted a seminar on issues
pertaining to combating and preventing from the bird flu. The seminar
involved the specialists from the above two Departments and poultry
farm owners. Lectures were given at the workshop on issues concerning
current spread of the bird flu, the recommendations issued by the World
Health Organization, the bird flu symptoms, and laboratory inspections.
As well, the orders by the Minister of Health and the Head of the
Ulaanbaatar City Health Department on the measures to be taken against
the bird flu were introduced to the attendees.
