Mongolia teams with Sysmex to create first-ever national medical standards |

 Japan’s Sysmex Corporation,
working with the Mongolian Ministry of Health, has delivered three blood-analyzing
machines to Mongolia to help to standardize medical testing throughout
the country.
In working with Sysmex, Mongolia
is creating a program of external quality control for the first time
in the history of the country’s health care systems.
Previously, as a diverse variety
of medical equipment was sold to medical institutions in Mongolia, no
single standard was used to diagnosis and calculate medical testing
and treatments.
With the Sysmex blood analyzing
equipment, the government seeks to introduce such standards.
In a written statement, Sysmex
noted, “…the Ministry decided to adopt three of our hematology
analyzers for use as standard instruments in blood tests…..Following
this adoption, certified medical institutions are going to establish
values to serve as standards in blood tests for quality control reagents
by using standard instruments, and provide them to test facilities throughout
Mongolia. We shall analyze the data collected from these facilities
and report the results to the Ministry.”
Sysmex products have currently
been adopted as standard instruments for blood tests in China and Thailand.
