Ulaanbaatar residents continue to participate
in a variety of projects to improve the country’s environment.
A group of 280 residents of
the Sukhbaatar district recently spent one month clearing
debris in the Selbe River and on its shore.
In a program entitled ''Civil
involvement in a healthy environment'' citizens cleared over 100 kilograms
of accumulated garbage. In fact, four trucks were needed to haul away
the trash.
Some area businesses also assisted
in the cleanup.
