Mongolian officials are visiting
Egypt to learn how anti-corruption officials work to create more honest
government.
Led by G.Badarch, the Head
of the Administrative Department of the Corruption Combating Authority
of Mongolia, the group is meeting with their Egyptian counterparts to
see how their work is performed.
The Egyptian Administrative
Control Authority of Egypt was established in 1958 with an independent
status in order to combat corruption. It investigates officials' neglecting
their duties, administrative and financial breaches, abuses of authority
and illegal expenditures of the state budget.
The Egyptian agency also investigates
crimes related to illegal income and inspects financial activities by
exchanging information with the Central Bank's unit to combat money
laundering.
