Polo Resources Ltd. announced
it has begun drilling at the Hud Coal site in the South Gobi Coal Basin
in Mongolia. Drilling is expected to last two months.
In a statement, the company
said, “Given the flat topography of this region of the Gobi, this
location of coal is considered to be significant.” Recent explorations
at the site discovered several coal seams, officials noted.
“Over the next few months
drilling will determine coal widths, but initial coal strike lengths
would indicate excellent potential,' said Hud Coal chairman, Neil Herbert.
