A United States science museum
will broadcast the upcoming solar eclipse from Mongolia.
The San Francisco science museum,
the Exploratorium, will team with members of the U.S. space agency,
NASA, to broadcast the August 1 eclipse from Mongolia as well as China.
The museum will sell tickets
to the public to watch the eclipse from the museum’s auditorium. Also,
the eclipse will be broadcast over the internet by the museum.
The live broadcast will be
broadcast from a site in Mongolia and one in China.
"Really, this is an educational
outreach, a way to give people a chance to experience something they
are passionate about," Larry Kenworthy of Magnetic Image Video
told the Marin Independent
Journal. "We reach out to kids who go home and show grandma and
grandpa how to view an eclipse. It's been extremely rewarding."
