Ereen coal site expected to open in October PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 31 July 2008

Polo Resources Ltd. announced Tuesday that it expects its Ereen coal mine to be operational by October. Further, it reported that the construction of a road leading from the mine to a rail line to China is ahead of schedule.

The Ereen Coal Project is located in the western area of the Bulgan Province of Mongolia, known as the Ereen Basin.

Once running, officials hope to mine 100,000 tonnes of coal per month.

'Sale prices for this coal are high and will allow Polo to make significant returns on the small capex investment it has made,' Polo resources noted in a statement.
