Thursday, 07 August 2008
Athletics, politics and foreign relations will mix when Mongolian officials attend the opening Olympic ceremonies in Beijing on Friday.

As part of his itinerary, Mongolian President N. Enkhbayar will meet with Chinese officials, including Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China.

Additionally, President Enkhbayar will participate in meetings with the President of Vietnam, according to Mongolian Foreign Minister D. Tsogtbaatar.

Speaking of Mongolia’s delegation to the Olympics, Tsogtbaatar noted that "Mongolia has gained 29 rights in this Beijing Olympic Game. This is considered to be a great achievement for Mongolian athletes."
