Citizens asked to help in fighting desertification PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 07 August 2008

Mongolian citizens were again asked to help in proposing ideas to stem the rising desertification of the country.

Residents of Tov aimag were invited to a program, entitled ''Update of the national program on combating desertification''. Following presentations by experts, citizens were asked to contribute to the process.

Discussions have been held in other aimags throughout the country.

The ongoing program is sponsored by The President of Mongolia, the National Development Institute of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, and the Ministry of the Environment.
